The short version
Four things at the core.
Everything we believe is rooted in the Bible and centered on Jesus. The Assemblies of God highlights four core beliefs that shape who we are.
Salvation
Jesus is our only hope. Through his death and resurrection, anyone who turns to him in faith is forgiven and made new.

God still pours out his Spirit on believers today, giving power to live for him and to share Jesus with the world.

Healing is part of what Jesus did on the cross. We pray for the sick, believing God still heals.

The One True God
There is one true God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — the Creator of all things and the Redeemer of people.

The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, worked miracles, died on the cross in our place, rose bodily from the dead, and is exalted at the right hand of God.

The Fall of Man
God created people good and upright. But humanity chose to sin, and that choice brought separation from God and death — physical and spiritual — to all of us.

The Salvation of Man Core
Our only hope of redemption is Jesus. Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through repentance and faith in Christ — and it shows up in the Spirit's inner witness and a life that follows Jesus.

The Ordinances of the Church
Jesus gave the church two ordinances: water baptism by immersion, for everyone who has turned to him in faith (ours happen on the beach!), and Communion, where we remember his death until he returns.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit Core
Every believer can receive — and should eagerly seek — the baptism in the Holy Spirit. It's a gift distinct from and following salvation that brings power for life and ministry.

Sanctification
God calls us to be holy. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we turn away from what is evil and give ourselves to God, growing more like Jesus over a lifetime.

The Church and Its Mission
The church is the body of Christ. Our mission is to reach the world with the good news of Jesus, worship God, build up believers, and show compassion to people in need.

The Ministry
God calls and gives leaders to the church to lead in reaching people, worship, building up believers, and meeting the needs of the world around us.

Divine Healing Core
Healing from sickness is part of what Jesus accomplished on the cross, and it's the privilege of every believer to pray for and receive it.

The Blessed Hope Core
Jesus will return for his church. Believers who have died will be raised, and those who are alive will be caught up together to be with the Lord forever.

The Millennial Reign of Christ
Christ will return visibly with his people and reign on the earth for a thousand years, bringing the peace the world has longed for.

The Final Judgment
There will be a final judgment. Those whose names are not written in the Book of Life will face eternal separation from God.

The New Heavens and the New Earth
God will make a new heavens and a new earth where righteousness lives — and he will be with his people forever.
